Kala KA-15S-S Entry Level Spruce Top Soprano Ukulele

Kala KA-15S-S Entry Level Spruce Top Soprano Ukulele. The Kala Mahogany Series now offers the KA-15S-S with a Spruce Top!

Spruce makes a welcome appearance on the Kala Mahogany Series ukuleles. The Kala KA-15S-S retains the full-bodied tone of the KA-15S, with plenty of "Sweet Highs" and "Mellow Lows".

The addition of the spruce top adds a little more volume and 'punch' to the overall sound, and lends a striking visual contrast with the lighter spruce finish paired with mahogany. Mahogany back and sides provide the typical warmth and rich mid-tones typical of the tonewood. It's great to see spruce on an affordable starter instrument for a change, and on the KA-15S-S it gives a little extra weight and top end sparkle to the overall sound.

The Kala KA-15S-S is simple but stylish in the looks department. Stripped down and tastefully finished, the only decoration is a laser etched 'Sun' graphic around the sound hole. The Kala brand logo adorns the headstock. This clean looking starter instrument is more than worthy addition to the Kala range!

Chrome die-cast open back tuners with white pearloid buttons assure your instrument will stay in tune. This is a very affordable entry-level ukulele from Kala. It's a great sounding little ukulele and a considerable step up from the Makala range. Well worth the little added luxury with the spruce top!
