Kala KA-BFS Bocote Butterfly Soprano Ukulele

Kala KA-BFS Bocote Butterfly Soprano Ukulele. Kala s beautifully figured Bocote series is typified by a mellow and warm tone, pleasingly ringing with enhanced projection from the distinctive arched back. The attractive swirling and striped effect of Bocote wood is unique to this instrument and makes for a ukulele with impressive looks to match the sweetness of the tone.

Kala have branded their Bocote instruments the Butterfly Series, in reference to the beauty of the wood grain pattern. A wood Butterfly inlay adorns the headstock, which is offset by traditional rope binding in Maple and Walnut, and custom beveled Spruce binding on the back.

Beautifully constructed using Bocote, a wood commonly found in Mexico, the Kala KA-BFS Bocote Butterfly Soprano Ukulele sports a yellowish brown body with a striking grain pattern that swirls from dark brown to almost black. Tonally, Bocote is similar to Walnut, used for it's warmth and sustain, and paired with the arched back its sound is deep and rich with powerful tones.

Bocote series all have precision tuning pegs, Graphtech nubone nut and saddle and are complete with Aquila Super Nylgut Strings.

If you re looking for a mid range instrument that sounds professional with a distinctively patterned grain this is definitely worth considering. It has a particularly rich, warm tone and the Bocote wood is just stunning!
