Snail SR-05CE Solid Koa Top Concert Ukulele

Snail SR-05CE Solid Koa Top Concert Ukulele. A relatively recent brand, Snail Ukuleles have proved a more than welcome addition to the great Ukulele roster and have found high favour among the staff here at the Duke of Uke. The prices are incredibly competitive for such high quality instruments and it s more good news from there on in.

Beautifully constructed, with just a slightly wider than usual neck width (affording extra fretting hand comfort), Snail Ukuleles feature a selection of handsome wood grains, giving each instrument an individual look, and a uniquely warm, expressive tonality through-out their entire range.

A very beautiful ukulele and plays wonderfully!

At the time of ordering the Snail SR-05CE Solid Koa Top Concert Ukulele, was out of stock so I chose an upgrade to the Kala KA-ASAC-C Solid Acacia Concert Ukulele.

It should be noted that what I received was a Kala KA-SA-C Solid Acacia Series Concert Ukulele. This is because due to CITES, Kala no longer make ukulele's using rosewood. The KA-SA-C is exactly the same as the KA-ASAC-C but instead of using rosewood on it's fretboard and bindings etc, the KA-SA-C uses walnut on it's fretboard and maple for it's binding. Granted, this means the custom design fret position markers don't 'pop' as much as they might have against rosewood, but this is still a very beautiful ukulele and plays wonderfully!

    Highly recommend this model

Bought as a gift for my daughter (19yrs) this lovely instrument sounds superb compared to her first uke which now seems like a toy. She has played it every day since Christmas in preference to her guitar.
    Highly recommend this model.
